Turn your barbecue party into an outstanding culinary experience! The Wagyu Tomahawk from the Morgan Ranch is a rib eye steak with an extra-long bone. It is cut from the prime rib (the frontal part of the loin) and perfect for searing. Thanks to its impressive shape and size, the  Wagyu Tomahawk rib eye makes for a great centrepiece on any barbecue. But a good Wagyu Tomahawk steak is not only visually impressive. The meat from Dan Morgan’s Wagyu cattle quite literally melts in the mouth. It is highly flavoursome with a savoury, nutty taste. Combined with the deep red colour of the meat and the almost snow-white fat delicately lining the Wagyu Tomahawk rib eye, it is an experience nobody should miss.

And if you are wondering about the name – have a close look at this imposing steak. Can you see it? Its shape resembles that of a tomahawk. The word “tamahaac” comes from the Native American Powhatan language and means “axe” or “hatchet”. So why not bury the hatchet and throw a barbecue party featuring a perfectly grilled Wagyu Tomahawk steak?

Our barbecue experts recommend a combination of sous-vide followed by grilling (watch our video for details). This method gives the Wagyu Tomahawk rib eye its special roasting aromas. Once cooked, debone the steak, cut it into narrow slices along the grain, sprinkle with salt, close your eyes and – mmm.
